Tauranga Tandem Skydiving has been operating from the Tauranga Airport in the beautiful Bay of Plenty for the past 18 years. Located 5 minutes drive from the main beach and port, our experienced crew will introduce you to the adrenalin filled world of skydiving.

With a strong emphasis on safety we ensure your skydive will be both an enjoyable and exciting experience.

All instructors have a minimum of 2000 jumps and take pride in being part of a well established organisation with a good reputation. Tauranga Tandem Skydiving is a certified operator of the New Zealand Parachute Industry Association.

Company info

Tauranga Tandem Skydiving was set up and is still run by proprietor John Martin. John made his first skydive as a 16 year old in 1979. He went on to make around 600 jumps and was part of the duo that made the first BASE jump in New Zealand.

Tauranga Tandem Skydiving commenced operations in 1991 and has made over ten thousand decents. It is proud to boast a good safety record and is well respected amongst the skydiving industry.

John still flies and is involved with the operational running of the business. Also an author Johns book “Just Shut Up and Jump” has been described as humorous, entertaining and inspirational.
